His Holiness, The Amma’s 76th birthday was celebrated at Melmaruvathur with much pomp and gaiety. Nearly 7 lakh devotees dressed in red robes benignly enjoyed the Blessings of Amma.
The celebrations, which started on February 29th, were marked with many rituals and ceremonies. The occasion was marked with the Casket-Lighting Yagnas, Paadha Poojas, social welfare activities to the tune of one crore rupees, festive-release magazines, etc.
The assembled masses were indeed pleased to have a glimpse and dharshan of His Holiness, the Amma. Further, in view of Amma’s 76th birthday, a 24-hour non-stop chanting of Moola Manthra took place for achieving worldly peace.
